If you have a bad toothache, the only sensible thing to do is see a dentist.

In fact, you can save a whole lot of money over a lifetime just by being a regular visitor to a (good) dentist.

They don’t always charge in standard ways; if you are prepared to travel a bit, choose a dentist in a less affluent area. They will generally charge less.

But if you have a bad toothache and it’s going to take a few days to get to the dentist, my “cure” is:

– chop a small clove of garlic very finely, add a good pinch of salt, and swish and chew the mixture around the tooth.

Garlic works wonders and stops the pain – very good for teeth on edge!

The only trouble is fronting up to a dentist reeking of garlic. I suggest two days prior to the dentist appointment you choose a strong chemical pain reliever instead (nurofen or ibuferen etc.).

  1. My friend tried garlic it is effective and it will make worm in side the tooth come out.

  2. This is a really good article, as a dentist in Melbourne I would have no problems if patient was presented with a slight garlic breath as it can be a very effective pain relief. Dentist Melbourne.

  3. While garlic will minimize the dental pain, I highly recommend that you visit the dentist as soon as possible. Otherwise, this will only mask the pain which could be a serious dental infection or cavity and will cost much more to be fixed by a Sydney Dentist.
