When you eat out at a restaurant, don’t feel that you have to eat a lot to please the proprietor.

It’s amazing how many people have guilt feelings about spending little in a restaurant.

You don’t have to have an entree. Or a dessert. Or even a main meal if you don’t want one.

And you certainly don’t need to order anything to drink but water. Tap water.

Walk out if you are pressured to pay too much after looking at the menu.

And certainly, unless in the USA,  skip the tip for poor service.

In other words, learn to be a little bit mean. That way you can leave a decent tip when you do get good service.

Milk is expensive. Good for you, sure, but costly over time.

Substitute with whole milk powder – that is with full fat.  (Skim milk is a total rip-off that makes you fatter over time, not thinner).

Or learn to take your tea and coffee black.

The trick to making up milk powder is to use cool water and stir.

You can also add a drop of vanilla essence to give it a fresher taste.

Buy a good quality hip flask.

Fill it with tap water, and carry it with you at all times.

The more water you drink, the healthier you are (within reason), and you will eat less and save more.

And over time you’ll save on drinking expensive beverages such as sugar water (sodas etc.)

If you get bored with water, occasionally you can always add a drop or two of Angostura bitters.

It works. Changes your life. Keeps you healthy, slim, free of disease.

Three times a day before or with meals.

Saves you money in the long run because bad health is expensive.

Make sure the bottle says the magic words “with the mother” (it’s a reference to the best part of the apple).

Water. Just  a plain old toothbrush (soft) with water.

After brushing, use the best mouthwash available: warm salty water.

No more dentist. No more bad breath.

Cheap and easy meals are the secret to saving money.

But what sort of meals are we talking about?

Well, here’s a start:

Sardines on Toast with Avocado.

Couldn’t be easier!

  1. Open a small can of sardines in olive oil and add to toast (no butter needed)
  2. slice an avocado on top
  3. …and season with pepper and or tabasco sauce if you like.

Healthy too, of course.

In fact, you could just about live on this for a few days every month…and get a lot healthier fast!
